June 4 is the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression and the Day of Remembrance of Children Killed as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has killed at least 707 Ukrainian children, and another 2,548 have been injured. More than 6,000 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against children committed as a result of Russian aggression are being investigated in Ukraine officially.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.
“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has killed at least 707 young Ukrainians. Every death is a child whose future was taken away. Russia must be held accountable for these crimes,” the President stressed.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that 2,548 children were injured as a result of Russian aggression. Currently, more than 6,000 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against children and in the field of child protection committed because of Russian aggression are being investigated in Ukraine.
Suspicion notices have been served to 234 servicemen of the Russian Federation and other involved persons, indictments against 108 persons have been sent to court, and there are already verdicts.
He stressed that law enforcement officers must identify everyone who gave orders, planned the strikes, or directly participated in crimes against Ukrainian children. There is no statute of limitations for such crimes.
