In Brussels, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy participated in the seventh meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the Office of the President reported.

The leaders coordinated joint positions ahead of talks with US President Donald Trump, scheduled for Monday in Washington.

Partners discussed how to stop the killings as quickly as possible and worked to develop a shared view of what a peace agreement should look like.

Meeting participants emphasized clear support for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty. All agreed that state borders cannot be changed by force. The partners share the position that key issues should be resolved with Ukraine’s participation in a trilateral format: Ukraine, the US, and Russia.

The leaders welcomed the US decision to participate in providing security guarantees for Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that these guarantees must be practical, providing protection on land, in the air, and at sea, and should be developed with European involvement.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked all partners for the productive meeting.
