Four countries have lifted restrictions on arms supplies to Ukraine: Britain, France, Germany, and the US. Long-range strikes on Russian territory with Western weapons have also been authorized.
This was reported by Clash Report, citing German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
“The United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the United States have lifted restrictions on the supply of military equipment to Ukraine, adds German Chancellor Merz. Long-range strikes with Western weapons on Russian territory are now permitted,” the report says.
It is also reported that Ukraine now has a high probability of receiving German Taurus missiles. Merz also stressed the need to supply Ukraine with long-range weapons. Germany is expected to provide 100 to 150 Taurus cruise missiles, similar to the British-French Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG. Germany also plans to send Ukraine its old PAC-2 Patriot missiles.
It is reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to visit Berlin on Wednesday, May 28.
