President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had received a report from the head of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, detailing the internal situation in Russia, developments in its defense industry, and the Kremlin’s military plans.

According to the president, Ukrainian intelligence is identifying key vulnerabilities of the aggressor state and will strike accordingly to reduce its capacity for further aggression.

“We are witnessing the continued intellectual decline of Russia’s leadership and have evidence that they are preparing new military operations on European territory,” Zelensky stated.

He also noted that sanctions are causing “significant damage” to the Russian economy, confirming the effectiveness of Ukraine’s strategy to compel Russia to end the war through increasing sanctions and other forms of pressure.

Ukraine plans to brief international partners on the intelligence gathered and is preparing joint defense measures, particularly with the United Kingdom and the European Union.
