An Italian citizen was denied entry into Ukraine after being checked at a border crossing point. The foreigner was banned from entering Ukraine for three years due to his pro-Russian views and justification of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression.

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The State Border Service of Ukraine drew attention to a post by a citizen that went viral on the internet. In Threads, the girl said that while traveling to Ukraine from Italy, she had a conversation with an Italian man who talked about how bad Ukraine and its president were, and praised Russian dictator Putin.

When the 53-year-old Italian arrived at the checkpoint, the State Border Guard Service inspectors carried out the necessary border control measures.

“As a result of the check, he was denied entry and banned from entering Ukraine for three years. In fact, he has pro-Russian views and justifies the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine, thereby violating Ukrainian law,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.
