        At least three people injured in Russian attack on Kyiv

        On the night of August 16, Russian forces attacked Kyiv. The strikes caused fires and damage in the capital’s Obolonskyi and Holosiivskyi districts.

        The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this. According to the latest information from rescuers, the number of people injured in the attack has risen to three.

        In the Obolonskyi district, a large fire broke out at one of the markets. At another location, the blast wave caused minor damage to a building, but no fire broke out.

        A non-residential building was also hit in the Obolonskyi district.

        In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out on the premises of a non-residential building. Rescuers managed to contain the blaze.

        The State Emergency Service said that rescuers and other relevant services continue to deal with the consequences of the overnight Russian attack. Information about the aftermath of the strikes is still being clarified.
