The 1,293rd day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From September 7 to 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 156 Russian attacks. There were 43 battles in the Pokrovsk direction, 22 in the Novopavlivka direction, and 17 Russian assaults in the Lyman direction.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the day, the enemy launched three missile strikes and 75 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using 16 missiles and 143 guided bombs. In addition, Russian forces carried out 4,703 shelling attacks, including 184 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 4,679 kamikaze drones.
The enemy carried out airstrikes on the following areas:
- Novopavlivka, Shcherbaky, Magdalynivka, Lukyanivske in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Antonivka in Kherson region.
Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk Directions
Ukrainian defenders repelled nine Russian attacks in these directions. The enemy launched 15 airstrikes, dropped a total of 38 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 216 artillery strikes, including six using multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhansky, Kupyansk, Lyman, and Siversk Directions
- Southern-Slobozhansky: 14 clashes occurred near Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Kamyanka.
- Kupyansk: Five Russian attacks were recorded, with Ukrainian forces repelling assaults near Kupyansk and toward Pishchane.
- Lyman: The enemy attacked 17 times, attempting to advance near Karpivka, Hrekivka, Serednye, and toward Drobysheve, Shandryholove, and Derylove.
- Siversk: Russian forces attacked near Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and toward Yampol and Siversk. A total of 12 clashes occurred in this direction over the past day.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk Directions
- Kramatorsk: Four Russian attacks were repelled near Markove, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and toward Stupochky and Minkivka.
- Toretsk: Eight assaults took place near Poltavka, Shcherbynivka, and toward Pleshchiivka.
- Pokrovsk: Ukrainian defenders stopped 43 Russian attacks near Shakhove, Vilne, Kotlyne, Novopidhorodne, Novoeconomichne, Rodynske, Myrolyubivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Dachne, Novoukrainka, and toward Novopavlivka.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovsky, Orikhiv, and Other Directions
- Novopavlivka: 22 Russian assaults were repelled near Komyshuvakha, Zelenyi Hai, Obratne, Olhivske, Oleksandrograd, and toward Ivanivka, Sosnivka, Filya.
- Huliaypole: No offensive actions were recorded.
- Orikhiv: The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Plavni and toward Mala Tokmachka, Stepnohirsk, and Novodanylivka.
- Prydniprovsky: No offensive actions took place.
- Volyn and Polissya: No signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected.
