        Air Force: 45 cruise missiles shot down, 266 enemy UAVs destroyed

        On the night of 25 May (from 20:40 on 24 May), the enemy launched a combined strike on Ukraine using 367 enemy air attack weapons:

        • 9 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
        • 55 air- and sea-based cruise missiles X-101, Kalibr from Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic aircraft;
        • 1 cruise missile X-22 from a Tu-22M3 aircraft;
        • 4 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from tactical aircraft;
        • 298 Shahed strike UAVs and various types of drone simulators.

        This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

        The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

        According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, 45 Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles were shot down by air defence forces, and two Kh-59/69 missiles were lost.

        As a result of the combat, 266 enemy Shahed-type UAVs and other types of drones were destroyed in the east, north, south, west and centre of the country. 139 were shot down by fire weapons, 127 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.

        Most regions of Ukraine were affected by the enemy attack. Enemy air strikes were recorded in 22 locations, and downed cruise missiles and strike UAVs were recorded in 15 locations.
