British boxer Tyson Fury defeated Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in a bout that took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. It was the former world champion’s first fight in a year and a half after two defeats to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

In May 2024, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision and unified the belts for the first time, becoming the undisputed heavyweight world champion. In December of the same year, the Ukrainian secured another victory — this time by unanimous decision. These defeats were the first in the Briton’s career, who previously had 34 wins (24 by knockout).

At the beginning of 2025, Fury announced his retirement, but later repeatedly stated his intention to return to the ring and finish his career on his own terms. He later announced a possible trilogy with Usyk.

His first opponent after the break was 36-year-old Arslanbek Makhmudov, who had a record of 21-2 (19 KOs) and last fought in October 2025, when he defeated British boxer Dave Allen.

In the fight, Fury had a clear advantage: he landed 199 punches compared to 59 by his opponent. The gap in power punches was even larger — 76 to 7 in favor of the Briton.

According to the results of the bout, the judges unanimously awarded victory to Fury — 120-108, 120-108, 119-109. It was his 35th career win and his first since October 2023.
