During a telephone conversation with Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed organizing a meeting with Zelenskyy in Moscow, AFP reported, citing sources close to the negotiations.
According to these sources, Zelenskyy, who was in the White House during the call, rejected this offer. At the same time, Trump, commenting on the situation on Fox News, called the war in Ukraine “terrible” and stressed that Zelenskyy should be “flexible” in negotiations with Russia.
The American president also clarified that the upcoming meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin will take place without his personal participation.
“They have not been the best of friends lately,” Trump added.
