In the early morning of 11 July, Russian occupation forces attacked the centre of Kharkiv with Shahed-type strike drones.
A maternity hospital was hit in Kharkiv, but none of the women in labour were injured, according to the city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
‘The morning explosions hit a maternity hospital where women in labour with their babies were staying. We are now evacuating them to another medical facility. Fortunately, none of them were injured,’ Terekhov said.
Three people are currently known to have been injured as a result of the attack on Kharkiv.
