On the night of October 10, the Russian army launched massive strikes on Zaporizhzhia. Private sector and infrastructure facilities were shelled, and several fires broke out.

This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

The massive shelling of Zaporizhzhia began at around 1:00 a.m. There were several waves of attacks: first, the Russians launched “shahids,” which attacked the city for an hour, and at around 4:00 a.m., the occupiers struck the city with guided aerial bombs and cruise missiles.

“In total, the enemy launched eight ‘Shahed’ drones, five missiles, and five guided bombs at Zaporizhzhia last night,” Fedorov said.

Initially, two people were reported wounded — a child and a 45-year-old woman. Later, the number of victims rose to three, and then to four. In the morning, it became known that a seven-year-old boy who was seriously injured during the attack died in the hospital. The parents of the deceased boy are among the victims.

An air raid alert continued throughout the Zaporizhzhia region at night, and passage through the DniproHES dam was blocked for safety reasons.
