A massive Russian strike on Ukraine killed 25 people and injured another 100. In Pryluky, the death toll from a direct hit by a Kh-101 missile on a residential building rose to 19, including five children.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the president, debris removal continued throughout the day in Pryluky following the missile strike. A Russian Kh-101 missile directly hit the building.
“Unfortunately, 19 people were killed, including five small children. My condolences to their families and loved ones,” Zelenskyy said.
Overall, 25 people were killed and another 100 injured in the massive attack on Ukraine. The strike was combined, with Russia using ballistic and cruise missiles as well as Shahed drones.
The president said Ukrainian forces shot down 44 cruise and ballistic missiles overnight. In addition, 117 Shahed drones were suppressed.
At the same time, Zelenskyy stressed that not all Russian weapons were intercepted and that countering ballistic missiles remains particularly difficult.
According to him, Ukraine needs additional packages of air defense missiles and further support from its partners.
“The threat exists every day, and every day there must be missiles in air defense batteries. We are counting very much on prompt deliveries from our partners,” the president said.
Zelenskyy also called on international partners not to leave Russian strikes without a response and to increase sanctions pressure on Russia. According to him, Russia continues on a path of escalation and strikes against Ukraine.
