The 1125th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From March 23 to March 24, 140 combat engagements were registered at the front. The most tense situation remains in the Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Kursk sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 74 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 97 drones, and carried out 6457 attacks, including 145 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2350 kamikaze drones to defeat them.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
- Petrushivka, Krasnopillia, Okip, Turya, Ugroids, Novodmitrivka and Prokhody in Sumy region;
- Velyka Shapkivka, Kharkiv region;
- Pokrovsk, Oleksandropil, Nova Poltavka, Malynivka, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Hrodivka in Donetsk region;
- Novodarivka, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy tried once to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders towards Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, five militants’ attacks took place yesterday. The Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped the enemy’s assault in the areas of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka and Bohuslavka.
The enemy attacked in the Liman sector 11 times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian defense near Yampolivka, in the directions of Novyi, Novomykhailivka and Zelena Dolyna.
In the Siversky sector, the Defense Forces stopped five offensives near Bilohorivka, in the directions of Ivano-Daryivka and Verkhnekamianske.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, two firefights were registered yesterday near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Chasovyi Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the vicinity of Toretsk, Shcherbynivka and in the direction of Diliyivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 61 aggressor’s attacks in the direction of Panteleymonivka, Vodiane Druhe, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Andriivka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Bohdanivka and in the direction of Serhiivka.
Novopavlivske, Huliaipil, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy conducted eight attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Vesele and in the vicinity of Skudne yesterday.
In the Huliaipil sector, Ukrainian troops stopped three enemy attempts to advance near Novopil and Novosilka.
No combat engagements took place in the Orikhivske and Prydniprovskyi sectors yesterday.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Yesterday, the enemy carried out 12 air strikes, downing 14 UAVs, and fired 292 times, five of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders stopped 17 invaders’ assault actions.
