The 1,196th day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. During the day, a total of 142 battles took place on all sections of the front line. The occupiers are most active in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka areas.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched two missile and 78 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using three missiles and 137 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,736 shellings, 106 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,270 kamikaze drones to strike targets.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on the following populated areas:
- Boyaro-Lezhachi, Petrushevka, Ugroidy in Sumy region;
- Vovchanski Khutory, Artilne in Kharkiv region;
- Mirne, Myrolyubivka, Novopil in Donetsk region;
- Olgivske, Poltavka, Huliaipole, Chervona Krynytsia, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Olgivka in Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Siverskyi directions
Over the past day, three combat engagements took place in the Kharkiv direction in the area of the settlement of Vovchansk and in the direction of Dovhenke.
Seven attacks by the occupiers were recorded in the Kupiansk direction. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Zakhidne, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, Zagryzove, and Zelenyi Hai.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 15 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Hrekivka, Olgivka, Novyi Mir, Hluschenkove, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Zelenaya Dolina, Torske, and in the direction of Hryhorivka.
In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine five times in the area of Hryhorivka, Verkhniokam’yanske, and in the direction of Serebryanka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy assaults in the direction of Bila Hora and Kurdyumivka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Diliivka, Pleshchiivka, Toretsk, Nelipivka, and in the direction of Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 46 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Myrolyubivka, Yelizavetivka, Malynivka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Muravka, Kotlyarivka, Andriivka, and in the direction of Pokrovsk.
Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, and Kursk directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 22 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Bahatyr, Odradne, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Zelenе Pole, Novopil, and in the direction of Novoukrainka and Komar.
In the Orikhiv direction, near Stepove, the invaders carried out a futile attack on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
There were 18 clashes in the Kursk direction. The enemy carried out 182 artillery strikes, including two with multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 17 air strikes, dropping 28 guided aerial bombs.
No clashes were recorded yesterday in the Huliaipole and Dnipro directions.
No signs of enemy offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
