Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Kupiansk direction and personally congratulated Ukrainian troops on their successful actions against Russian occupiers in the city. The head of state announced this in a video address published on the president’s official platforms.
Zelenskyy noted that Russia had made many statements about Kupiansk, but the real situation on the ground shows the results achieved by Ukrainian forces. During the visit, the president met with the soldiers and thanked all units fighting in this area.
The president stressed that achievements on the battlefield directly affect Ukraine’s position in diplomatic efforts to end the war. According to him, strong positions inside the country translate into strong arguments in international talks.
Zelenskyy also separately congratulated servicemen of Ukraine’s Ground Forces, saying he was especially proud of their work on this day and thanked them for their service.
