President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had seriously escalated its strikes on Ukraine’s logistics, using 16 ballistic missiles and more than 280 drones overnight. According to him, the attacks were primarily aimed at energy facilities, logistics and urban infrastructure across a number of Ukrainian regions.

This was reported by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The president said the number of people injured in a Russian strike on a university campus and the surrounding area on the evening of October 26 had risen to 12. Five of those injured were students and university staff.

According to Zelenskyy, while emergency services were helping people and dealing with the aftermath of the first strike, Russian forces used ballistic weapons again.

In total, Russia used 16 ballistic missiles and more than 280 drones overnight.

There were fatalities and confirmed strikes in Kyiv, including on the Pivdennyi Bridge.

Zelenskyy says strikes on logistics have escalated

The president described the attack as a serious escalation of Russia’s operation against Ukrainian logistics.

Strikes were also reported in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Kherson and Chernivtsi regions.

“Almost everywhere, Russia’s targets are energy, logistics and ordinary urban infrastructure,” Zelenskyy said.

Delays in Patriot and NASAMS interceptors

Zelenskyy also said delays in supplying Ukraine with packages of interceptor missiles for Patriot and NASAMS systems directly affect the country’s ability to defend itself against Russian attacks.

“Every such delay means another Russian hit on one facility or another,” the president stressed.

According to him, Russia continues its attacks every day and keeps taking new steps toward escalation.

Zelenskyy called for increased pressure on Russia and for military assistance to reach Ukraine on time.

Earlier, “Glavnoe in Ukraine” reported that one person was killed and 14 others were injured in a Russian attack on Kyiv. The Pivdennyi Bridge and metro infrastructure were also damaged.
