Russia is preparing new offensive operations and expanding mobilization. These conclusions were drawn following a report by the Main Intelligence Directorate and an analysis of documents from the Russian General Staff.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement on April 28.

According to the president, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to inflict significant losses on Russian troops, and the percentage of irreplaceable losses in the occupying army already stands at about 60% of the total. At the same time, Moscow is not abandoning its offensive plans.

“Despite this, the Russian political leadership is planning further offensive operations and preparing to deploy more personnel, in particular by expanding mobilization efforts in Russia,” he wrote.

According to the president, he received this information during a meeting with Oleg Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine’s response must be to strengthen its defensive capabilities and inflict maximum losses on the enemy.

“Ukraine’s task is to further increase the percentage of the occupier’s irrecoverable losses, intensify the use of drones on the front lines, and expand our long-range sanctions against Russian arms production and the oil industry,” he stressed.

Ukraine will also brief its international partners on its analysis of Russian plans, particularly regarding potential operations against NATO countries and attempts to increase Belarus’s involvement in carrying out Russia’s military objectives.
