Ukrainian forces struck logistics facilities and an oil depot in the Moscow region, located more than 400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border. Two tankers belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet” and four dry cargo vessels were also hit in the Black Sea.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported the results.
According to him, the operations were carried out by personnel from the Unmanned Systems Forces, intelligence units, the Missile Forces and Artillery, and the Special Operations Forces.
“The Moscow region. There are results from our long-range sanctions against logistics facilities and an oil depot,” the president said.
Zelenskyy noted that the targets were located more than 400 kilometres from Ukraine’s border.
Separately, the president reported that six vessels had been hit in the Black Sea: two shadow-fleet tankers and four dry cargo ships.
He thanked the Ukrainian service members involved in the operations.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine was responding to every Russian strike on its cities and communities and would continue increasing pressure on Russia.
“This war must be brought to an end, and that is possible only by increasing pressure on the sole cause of this war — Russia,” he said.
