Zelenskyy held a conversation with the South Korean president regarding DPRK troops

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol.

During the conversation they discussed the involvement of the North Korean military in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Office of the President reports.

“We consider the involvement of North Korean military personnel in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as an internationalization of the war and its going beyond the borders of the two states,” Zelensky stressed.

The Ukrainian president provided information about the transfer of 3,000 North Korean military personnel to Russian training grounds in close proximity to the war zone and the expected increase in their number to about 12,000.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Yun Seok Yol agreed to strengthen the exchange of intelligence and expertise, intensify contacts at all levels, in particular the highest level, in order to develop a strategy of action and a list of countermeasures in response to the escalation, as well as to involve common partners in cooperation.

As part of this agreement, Ukraine and the Republic of Korea will soon exchange delegations to coordinate actions.
