On October 15, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels to attend a European Council meeting and hold talks with partners. A series of meetings is scheduled over two days, aimed at increasing pressure on Russia and strengthening defense support for Ukraine.

He will also have an audience with King Philippe of Belgium on the same day.

On October 16, Zelenskyy is set to hold talks with the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission. Meetings with the prime ministers of Hungary, Finland and Sweden are also planned.

Zelenskyy stressed that ending the war requires greater pressure on Russia and increased defense support for Ukraine.

“We all in Europe want this war to end. And for that, we need signals of strength — more real pressure on Russia and more defense support for Ukraine. Right now, it is especially important to act together to protect lives,” the president said.
