In his video address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the visit of the new head of the NATO Military Committee to Ukraine. This is his first trip in office, and it is aimed at supporting Ukrainians.
During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the next meeting in the Ramstein format and urgent defence needs.
Zelenskyy noted that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is actively forming new divisions and increasing military production, in particular in cooperation with North Korea. The Kremlin is distributing modern military technologies, including drones, in the region.
The President stressed that such actions indicate Putin’s intention to continue the war rather than negotiate. Moscow is increasing its army by more than 100,000 more soldiers, and this information is already being shared with international partners.
Zelenskyy stressed that European countries must be aware of real threats and strengthen their defences. According to him, the allocation of 5% of GDP for military needs will remain an urgent issue for all allies.
