President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, where they discussed two key issues.
First — contracting and production of drones. The head of state instructed to contract all available volumes of priority drone types and mentioned separate work with European partners to secure financing for purchases. Zelensky emphasized that this year Ukraine must achieve much higher production and delivery figures for drones to the military than originally planned. He also noted preparations for unconventional steps to strengthen defense and expand the geography of such support.
The second issue concerned changes in state institutions. The president stressed the need for more positive dynamics in relations with the United States and new steps in managing the country’s defense sector. According to him, the relevant decisions will be announced soon.
