President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy has met with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, the Presidential Office reports.
This is her first foreign visit as High Representative of the EU.
Zelenskiy congratulated Kaja Kallas on taking up her post and stressed that Ukraine would do everything possible to gain membership in the European Union.
The main topic of the meeting was Ukraine’s need to strengthen its air defence to protect the lives of Ukrainians.
Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Kaja Kallas also discussed negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU and coordination of efforts to achieve the necessary results in this regard.
