Units of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck 27 energy facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea and other occupied areas of southern and eastern Ukraine between August 17 and 22. According to the USF, a total of 267 energy hubs have been disabled since the launch of the “Crimean Switch Off” operation on July 1.
This was reported by Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert Brovdi.
Among the targets hit, he listed the 500 kV Taman substation in Russia’s Krasnodar region, gas-turbine power plants in Karierne and Naumivka in occupied Crimea, as well as substations of various capacities in Crimea and the Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
According to Brovdi, strikes targeted the Peremoha, Khartsyzka, Tavriia, Koktebel, Malorichenske, Alupka, Haspra and Zakhidno-Krymska substations, among other facilities.
The list of targets also included the Yevpatoriia, Ternivka and Volodymyrivka gas distribution stations, as well as a facility in Olenivka.
Brovdi also reported on the results of the USF’s “MoLoChKa” operation, which he said is aimed at blocking the movement of vessels from Russia’s shadow fleet in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, as well as restricting traffic in the northern and northeastern parts of the Black Sea.
According to him, USF units struck 36 vessels in August. Since the operation began on July 6, 242 vessels have reportedly been hit as of August 22: 134 in the Sea of Azov and 108 in the Black Sea.
