Since the beginning of autumn, Ukrainian troops have liberated more territory than Russian forces have managed to capture over the same period. Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue active operations along the front line, including destroying Russian assault groups near Dobropillia and holding positions in the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the statement following a briefing by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi.
According to the president, Ukrainian forces have achieved results on the battlefield, particularly through operations conducted by the Air Assault Forces and the Third Army Corps.
“The trend of this year continues: since the beginning of autumn, our troops have liberated more territory than the Russians have managed to capture. The same was true during other periods of the year,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
Situation on the Dobropillia front
The president said Ukrainian troops near Dobropillia were destroying Russian units attempting to launch assaults and infiltrate Ukrainian positions.
“The situation in Dobropillia: we are destroying Russian attempts to storm our positions and eliminating infiltration groups. It is not easy, but our guys are taking them out,” Zelenskyy said.
He also highlighted the results of Ukraine’s active defense operations in other sectors of the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Zelenskyy names settlements under Ukrainian control
According to the president, Ukrainian forces continue to hold Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Orikhiv, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka and Velykomykhailivka.
“Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Orikhiv, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka and Velykomykhailivka are all under Ukrainian control,” Zelenskyy stated.
The Defense Forces are also defending areas near Kramatorsk.
The president separately addressed the situation on the Zaporizhzhia front, rejecting Russian assessments of how close Russian troops have advanced toward the regional capital.
“We are destroying Russians 20 kilometers from Zaporizhzhia, not five, as someone there in Russia is fantasizing to Putin,” he stressed.
Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian troops and units carrying out combat missions and emphasized that Ukraine’s defenses remain strong.
