In Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops stopped a Russian offensive near Velyka Novosilka, where the enemy used large numbers of infantry and dozens of armored vehicles.
According to the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Russian troops took advantage of the bad weather and attacked in columns. However, Ukrainian reconnaissance detected the enemy on the outskirts, and they, together with neighboring units, struck at the occupiers.
“Despite the snow and low visibility, the reconnaissance discovered the enemy on the outskirts. Then the fighters of the 110th Brigade together with their adjacent units began to systematically dismantle the occupiers’ boxes. The results of their work can be seen in the video. Several enemy armored vehicles escaped, while the rest remained forever rusting on the battlefield. The infantry was covered with shells,” the brigade said.
Recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped an assault by the Russian 155th Brigade in Kursk region. The enemy used more than a dozen tanks and about a company of soldiers.
