Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out strikes overnight on 28 November against the Saratov Oil Refinery, a UAV storage site at the Saky airfield, and several other Russian military targets.

The report was issued by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the Saratov Oil Refinery in Russia’s Saratov region as part of efforts to degrade the military and economic potential of the aggressor state. The plant produces more than 20 types of oil products used to supply the Russian occupation army. A series of explosions followed by a fire were observed in the target area. Damage is being assessed.

A UAV storage facility at the Saky airfield (Novofedorivka, temporarily occupied Crimea) was also struck. Preliminary information indicates that several air-defence systems — including a Pantsir-S1 and a Tor-M2 — were destroyed. After suppressing Russian air defences, Ukrainian forces eliminated the hangar housing enemy “Orion” and “Forpost” drones. The strike also hit a command and control tower and a KamAZ military truck. The extent of the damage is being clarified.

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck concentrations of enemy personnel and fuel depots in the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Results are being verified.

The General Staff emphasized that the Defence Forces continue to take all necessary measures to undermine Russia’s military and economic potential and compel it to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.
