Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out strikes on targets inside Russia. An oil refinery in the Ryazan region and oil-processing facilities in the Perm region and Tatarstan were hit.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on September 7.
“Our warriors continue to respond justly to Russian strikes on Ukraine. An oil refinery was hit in the Ryazan region. Our long-range capabilities were used against oil refineries in the Perm region and Tatarstan, as well as against a site used to store and launch attack drones in the Kursk region,” the president said.
Ukrainian forces also struck a target in the Black Sea. The president did not specify what exactly was hit.
Earlier, the Telegram channel Astra reported smoke over Zakamsk in the Perm region, where the Perm Gunpowder Plant and the Mashinostroitel federal state unitary enterprise are located. The latter produces charges for Grad and Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as for air defense systems.
The Mashinostroitel plant is a strategic Russian defense enterprise and is part of JSC Tactical Missiles Corporation. The facility, among other things, produces aircraft engine assemblies and components, as well as solid-fuel rocket engines.
Also, according to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, the Galaktika shopping center, formerly a METRO store, caught fire overnight in temporarily occupied Mariupol as a result of an attack. It is the last Galaktika shopping center in Donetsk region. Footage also emerged showing tanks at an attacked oil depot in Sochi that had been burning for two days; the channel’s authors suggested that they may have caused the new fire.
