Ukraine initiates meeting of international coalition to agree on common strategy to end the war – Presidential Administration

Ukraine is forming a coalition of partners to strengthen its defense and find diplomatic ways to end the war

This was announced by the presidential spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov.

Ukraine is creating a list of key international partners to participate in a working group that will strengthen its defense capabilities and develop a common strategy for a diplomatic settlement of the war.

Presidential spokesperson Serhiy Nikiforov said that Kyiv is already holding consultations with European allies and the United States, which are able to provide maximum support to Ukraine.

“The final list of participants is still being formed. These are countries with strong defense capabilities, key investors in Ukrainian arms production, and states that play an important role in our path to NATO,” Nikiforov said.

Ukraine plans to hold the first meeting of this group in December to coordinate efforts and develop a common position.

The coalition was announced during a press conference between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German opposition leader Friedrich Merz, who visited Kyiv on December 9. Merz proposed creating a contact group with Germany, France, Poland, and the United Kingdom to coordinate with the United States.

Zelenskyy supported this idea, adding that Ukraine also counts on Denmark’s participation and plans the first meeting of the working group in the near future.
