On September 29-30, another stage of evacuation of Ukrainian citizens and their families, as well as Palestinian citizens, from the Gaza Strip took place. Among those evacuated were wounded people.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
In close coordination between diplomats and employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, 57 people were evacuated from the enclave on September 29:
- 48 Ukrainian citizens (18 men, 14 women, and 16 minors);
- 9 Palestinian citizens (eight men and one woman).
The evacuation took place in an area of active combat, which significantly complicated the process. Among those evacuated were two wounded persons: a Ukrainian citizen born in 1999 and a Palestinian born in 1967.
During the evacuation, medical personnel from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense provided professional assistance to the evacuated citizens.
The evacuation plane with Ukrainian citizens and their family members has now landed at Chisinau Airport, from where they will continue their journey home.
