Short-term rains are expected on Sunday, 25 May, in the northern, most central, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, and Rivne regions of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, thunderstorms are expected during the day in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Odesa regions, with heavy rain in some places and hail and squalls of 15-20 m/s in some areas. The rest of the country will be dry.
The wind will be mainly southeasterly, 7-12 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in some places on the left bank during the day.
Temperatures in western regions will be 4-9° at night and 11-16° during the day. In the rest of the country, temperatures will be 12-17° at night and 23-28° during the day, with 17-22° in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
Thunderstorms, hail and squalls of 15-20 m/s are expected on 25 May during the day in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Odesa regions.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, due to dangerous meteorological phenomena, a level I hazard warning (yellow) has been issued in the relevant regions.
‘Weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction and utility companies and transport,’ the report said.
In Kyiv, short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected on 25 May. The wind will be south-easterly, 7-12 m/s. The temperature at night will be 14-16°, during the day 18-20°.
On Monday, 26 May, in the northern, most central, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, there will be short-term rain, with thunderstorms in some places. During the day in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, there will be heavy rain in some places, with hail in some areas. The rest of the territory will be dry.
