Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out successful strikes against the enemy’s military-industrial infrastructure, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, a strike targeted the “Stavrolen” plant in the city of Budyonnovsk, Stavropol region of Russia, which produced petrochemical materials for the needs of Russia’s defense industry.
The plant operates a full hydrocarbon processing cycle and manufactures polymers used for producing composite parts, seals, insulation materials, and components for drones. Multiple explosions and a large fire were recorded in the target area, with damage assessments ongoing.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied settlement of Novyi Svit in Donetsk region. Explosions and detonation were confirmed at the site. The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces continue to strike Russia’s military and economic potential to compel it to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.
