On the night of 4 May, Cherkasy suffered another Russian attack. As a result of the shelling, five fires broke out in the city, according to the State Emergency Service.
The fire engulfed residential apartments, a warehouse of one of the enterprises, a summer house and dry vegetation. The dormitory suffered the most damage — apartments on the first and second floors of the four-storey building were damaged, and windows in other apartments were broken.
One person was injured in the attack.
The fires were completely extinguished. Twenty-six pieces of equipment and 101 rescuers were involved in the clean-up operation.
