The Ternopil region was also under enemy attack today. According to the State Emergency Service, one of the region’s industrial facilities was shelled. The attack caused a fire.
More than 68 rescuers and 16 pieces of equipment were involved in the clean-up operation. The fire was localised by the State Emergency Service. Work to completely extinguish the fire is ongoing.
Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries.
Seven high-rise buildings and 10 businesses were damaged in Ternopil as a result of the Russian attack, according to Vyacheslav Negoda, head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration.
‘According to preliminary information, damage to seven apartment buildings and 10 businesses has been recorded,’ he said in a Facebook post.
He noted that a fire that broke out at one of the industrial enterprises in Ternopil due to the enemy’s night attack had already been extinguished. There are no casualties or injuries. Sixty-eight emergency workers and 16 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
