According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Sunday, September 21, will bring partly cloudy skies and no precipitation throughout the country. In the southwest, fog is expected at night and in the morning. Winds will be westerly and southwesterly at 5–10 m/s.
Overnight temperatures will range from 10–15°C, up to 18°C along the Black Sea and Azov coasts, and 7–12°C in the east. During the day, temperatures will rise to 22–27°C.
In Kyiv and the surrounding region, the weather will also be sunny and dry. Nighttime temperatures will stand at 12–14°C, with daytime highs reaching 25–27°C.
Meteorologist Nataliya Didenko explained that the Oldenburgia anticyclone, centered over Crimea, will bring a dry and clear Sunday. She noted that the sun will push temperatures up to summer-like levels: +24 to +29°C across most of the country, and +20 to +24°C in the east.
‘Sunday in Kyiv will be sunny and windless. At the moment, the cyclone will not reach the Carpathians on 26-28 September, so it will get colder, and we may see snow,’ Didenko said.
