Smoke was detected in the temporarily occupied Energodar near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The relevant footage is being distributed by local Telegram channels.
At the same time, the Russian occupation authorities reported massive power outages in several settlements. According to representatives of the occupation authorities, Energodar, Melitopol, as well as consumers in the Vasylivskyi, Kamyansko-Dniprovskyi and Veselivskyi districts were left without power. The causes of the emergency are currently being investigated.
Later, the so-called Gauleiter of the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, stated that the ‘emergency situation’ had allegedly been eliminated and that power supply was being restored.
