Russian troops launched a massive attack on Zaporizhzhia on the night of September 16. Kyiv and Sumy regions were also targeted.
According to the State Emergency Service, the occupiers struck Zaporizhzhia at least ten times. The attack destroyed private homes and non-residential buildings.
Large-scale fires broke out: the fire engulfed three residential buildings with an area of 350 m², two trucks in a parking lot, and a service station with an area of 600 m².
A 41-year-old man was killed in the city. Thirteen people were reported injured, including children aged 4 and 17.

Meanwhile, in the Kyiv region, the Russians repeatedly attacked a facility where rescuers were working. It was a parking lot of a shopping center, where a fire broke out at night as a result of a UAV attack. Two fire and rescue vehicles were damaged there.
The Sumy community was also attacked by drones: there were two hits, said Oleg Grigorov, head of the regional military administration.
As a result of the attack, part of the city was temporarily left without electricity. Power engineers are already working to restore power.
