Ukrainian defenders continue to repel massive Russian assaults in Donetsk region — this time, intense fighting is taking place not only in the Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Toretsk directions but also in a new area: the Dobropillia sector. This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, the enemy is trying to break through Ukraine’s defense lines using forces from the 68th Army Corps and the 20th and 150th Motorized Rifle Divisions. The invaders aim to advance toward Kostyantynivka, but despite heavy losses, they have achieved nothing.

Last week near Yablunivka, Russian troops launched a powerful attack involving 24 armored vehicles, but Ukrainian fighters stopped the assault, destroying 20 of the vehicles and inflicting significant casualties on enemy troops.

Syrskyi made a working visit to front-line units in Donetsk region, heard reports from commanders, and issued new orders to strengthen defense and improve its organization. He stressed the need to reinforce units with well-prepared personnel and to make timely, effective leadership decisions.

He also underlined the importance of maintaining full control over the troops and the effectiveness of units during the implementation of Ukraine’s corps reform, where army corps commands receive designated sets of troops in their sectors.

The Commander-in-Chief thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their courage, dedication, and tangible results in neutralizing the enemy.
