        Russians launched a missile strike on Kharkiv: power outages and subway service suspended

        This evening, January 26, a series of explosions rocked Kharkiv. The city was hit by a missile strike. The Industrial District was targeted, and there are casualties.

        This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.

        After the explosions, the power went out in some areas of the city, and there were power surges in some places. According to the Kharkiv metro, train service on the Saltivska and Oleksiivska lines has been temporarily suspended.

        According to preliminary information, two people were injured as a result of the shelling.

        Multi-story residential buildings and schools in the Industrial District were damaged.

        “One of the hits was on a school building,” Terekhov wrote.

        Critical infrastructure facilities in the region were also hit.

        “A number of settlements, including Chuhuiv, were left without power. Further information on the situation will be provided after energy companies have assessed the extent of the damage,” wrote Chuhuiv Mayor Galina Minaeva.
