        Russian drone hits civilian car in Kherson: man loses leg

        Russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle in Kherson with a drone on the morning of May 27. A 65-year-old man was seriously wounded in the strike.

        The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported this.

        According to officials, the attack occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the Dniprovskyi district of the city.

        The victim was standing near the vehicle when the drone struck.

        He suffered shrapnel wounds to the leg, a traumatic lower-leg amputation, concussion, blast injuries, and a closed head injury.

        The man was hospitalized in critical condition.

        “Doctors are currently fighting for his life,” the administration said.

        Earlier during the night, Russian forces also attacked the village of Komyshany with drones.

        A 53-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were injured in that strike. They suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.

        Both victims were hospitalized in moderate condition.
