On the night of August 18, Russian occupation forces attacked Kharkiv with ballistic missiles and strike drones.
One of the “Shaheds” hit a residential building in the Industrial District, causing a large fire.
According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the fire engulfed two stairwells: in one, the second to fourth floors are burning, and in the other, the top floor is on fire.
Three people are known to have died, including a one-year-old child. More than 15 residents were injured.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the strike.
