On July 30, Russian troops struck the village of Vasyshcheve in the Kharkiv region. At least one person was killed and four others were injured in the attack. A large fire broke out at the site of the strike.
According to Suspilne, the body of the deceased was pulled from the burning premises and handed over to the police. According to Viktor Zabashta, director of the regional Emergency Medical Center, all the injured are men who suffered shrapnel wounds, traumatic brain injuries, and fractures. Their condition is moderate.
Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, specified that the strike was directed at the enterprise. The fire covered an area of 20,000 square meters. The type of ammunition is currently being determined.
Artem Astakhov, head of the regional State Emergency Service, said that the fire is classified as a fourth-level fire, one of the highest levels. According to him, the fire is spreading, which complicates extinguishing efforts.
