Russian forces continue to increase pressure on the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk axis and are deploying additional reserves there. The Russian command is even using artillerymen and pilots in assault operations, but Ukrainian troops are holding their positions and inflicting losses on the enemy.

Mykhailo Trach, commander of the Sapsany unmanned systems battalion of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi, said this on Suspilne Studio.

According to him, Russian forces have not changed their tactics and continue trying to infiltrate in small groups while gradually advancing. Ukraine’s Defense Forces are inflicting losses on enemy personnel and equipment and are also targeting Russian logistics.

Trach said that in recent weeks, the Russian command has begun using service members from various military specialties in assault operations.

“The enemy is moving reserves from everywhere on a daily basis and trying to increase the pace of its advance. They are pulling artillerymen and even pilots from combat positions and assigning them to assault infantry in order to continue their creeping offensive. But so far, they have not succeeded,” the serviceman said.

Ukrainian units are attacking Russian troops not only on the front line but also in the rear. According to Trach, detected targets are destroyed while they are still moving out of concentration areas, including near Soledar and other settlements in occupied territory.

New Hornet strike drones are also being used on this axis. After integration with Starlink, the drones gained the ability to operate effectively over long distances.

According to the commander, Hornet drones can strike military targets more than 100 kilometers behind Russian lines. Ukrainian operators are attacking enemy equipment in the areas of Alchevsk, Debaltseve, Popasna and other occupied cities.

“We strike exclusively at the enemy’s military vehicles. We destroy convoys, specialized electronic warfare systems, trucks and armored vehicles. The drone is quite light, maneuverable, very fast and capable of covering considerable distances,” Trach said.

He stressed that Ukrainian troops continue to hold the line of contact and inflict losses on the Russian army both at the front and in rear areas.
