U.S. President Donald Trump made a bold statement about the war in Ukraine in a new post on the Truth Social platform, sharply criticizing both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Trump claimed he once had a “very good relationship” with Putin, but now “something has happened to him.” “He’s gone absolutely crazy! He’s needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers,” Trump wrote.
He also noted that missiles and drones are striking Ukrainian cities “for no reason whatsoever” and suggested that Putin wants to take over all of Ukraine, a move that could “lead to the downfall of Russia.”
Zelenskyy also came under fire. According to Trump, the Ukrainian president is “doing his country no favors” with his rhetoric, which “causes problems.”
