Orban calls on Ukraine and Russia to declare a Christmas truce

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that he had proposed that Ukraine and Russia establish a Christmas truce and conduct a large-scale prisoner exchange.

Viktor Orban wrote about this on the social network X.

“At the end of Hungary’s EU presidency, we made a new attempt to achieve peace. We proposed a Christmas ceasefire and a large-scale exchange of prisoners,” Orban wrote.

According to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy allegedly rejected the proposal.

“We did everything we could!” the Hungarian prime minister summarized.
