The 1241st day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From July 17 to July 18, the occupiers carried out 180 attacks. In the Pokrovsk sector, 11 attacks were repelled, in the Liman sector, the Russians attacked 30 times, and in the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, 21 combat engagements took place.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched one missile and 72 air strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using two missiles and dropping 137 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it conducted 5,892 attacks, including 95 with multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,442 kamikaze drones.
The air strikes hit areas of populated areas:
- Okip, Borshchova, Vovchansk, Chuhunivka in Kharkiv region;
- Bilohiria, Stepnohirsk, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Olgivka, Kherson region.
North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, 21 combat engagements took place yesterday. In addition, the enemy launched 18 air strikes, dropping 29 guided aerial bombs, and fired 356 times at Ukrainian positions and localities, including six times from multiple launch rocket systems.
South Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lymansky and Seversky directions
In the South Slobozhansky sector, the Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks near the towns of Vovchansk, Zelene and Starytsia.
Four attacks by the occupiers took place in the Kupiansk direction. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kupiansk, Zelenyi Hai, Nova Kruhlykivka, and in the direction of Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 30 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Novoyegorivka, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Zelenaya Dolina, Kolodyazi, Serebryanka, and in the direction of Novy Mir, Korovyi Yar, Seredny, Torsky, and Shandryholovo.
In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six assaults by the occupying forces near Hryhorivka and Vyimka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, 13 clashes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bila Hora, and Predtechine.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks near Shcherbinivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Petrivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka and Katerynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 61 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Rodynske, Novotoretske, Myrolyubivka, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zvirove, Udachne, Muravka, Oleksiivka, Dachne, and in the direction of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Volodymyrivka, and Novopavlivka.
Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces stopped 17 enemy attempts to break through the defensive lines in the areas of the settlements of Piddubne, Zirka, Temyrivka, Myrne, Voskresenka, Vilne Pole, Shevchenko, and Zelenе Pole.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped one enemy assault near the village of Mala Tokmachka over the past day.
In the Huliaipole and Prydniprovsk directions, the enemy did not carry out any offensive actions over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
