The 1156th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From April 23 to 24, the Defense Forces repelled 168 enemy attacks. The occupants are most actively attacking at the Pokrovske, Kurske, Lyman and Toretsk directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched one missile and 111 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using four missiles and dropping 228 UAVs. In addition, it carried out 6289 attacks, including 175 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,961 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
- Osoyivka, Miropilske, and Ulanove in Sumy region;
- Borova, Kharkiv region;
- Druzhkivka, Sloviansk, Myrnohrad, Chernihivka, Lyman in Donetsk region;
- Novopavlivka, Mezhova, Dnipropetrovska oblast;
- Pavlivka, Gulyaypole, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Tokarivka, Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy tried four times to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Vovchansk and Vovchansky Khutory.
One attack took place in the Kupyansk sector yesterday. Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy’s assault in the area of Zahryzove.
The enemy attacked in the Liman sector 20 times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense near the settlements of Nove, Hrekivka, Nadiya and Ridkodub.
In the Northern sector, the Defense Forces stopped 12 offensives near Bilohorivka and Verkhnekamianske.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, one firefight was registered in the vicinity of Klishchiyivka yesterday.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 25 attacks in the vicinity of Dachne, Krymske, Toretsk and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 56 aggressor’s attacks near Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Novotoretske, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Vidrodzhennia, Zvirove, Uspenivka, Nadiivka, Kotlyarivka and Andriivka.
Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivsk sector, the enemy carried out 15 attacks in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Skudne, Rivne and Novodarivka yesterday.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the occupants tried to advance three times in the areas of Stepove, Shcherbaky and Lobkove.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy made one futile attempt to advance.
No combat engagements were registered in the Huliaipil sector.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Kursk region. In this direction, the enemy carried out 20 air strikes yesterday, dropping 41 drones, fired 423 times, 19 of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders stopped 26 invaders’ assault actions.
