Only 3% of Ukrainians believe that the United States will help Ukraine achieve a fully just peace under Donald Trump’s presidency.
These data were released by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) based on a survey conducted in March 2025.
Another 15 per cent of respondents believe that peace can be relatively fair, but with certain concessions to Russia. At the same time, 21% believe that the peace will be only partially fair, and 32% expect a rather unfair option, even if some of Ukraine’s demands are met. Another 22% of respondents believe that peace under Trump will be completely unfair.

Compared to December 2024, the share of those who believe that Ukraine will receive an unfair peace under Trump has increased from 31% to 58% in February 2025.
‘While in December 2024, Ukrainians were still cautiously optimistic, their pessimism has increased significantly since February 2025,’ the sociologists said.

The survey was conducted from 12 to 22 March among 1,326 respondents.
