The 1126th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From March 24 to March 25, 165 combat engagements were recorded at the front. The situation remains the most tense in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, Toretsk and Kursk sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched 76 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 101 drones. In addition, it carried out 6261 attacks, including 142 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2640 kamikaze drones to defeat them.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
- Velykyi Prykil, Miropilske, Prokhody, Petrushivka, Turya, Ugroids, and Krasnopillia in Sumy region;
- Svitlychne, Slatyno, Kharkiv region;
- Pokrovsk, Donetsk region;
- Novodarivka, Malynivka, Gulyaypole, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region.
Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman and Siversk directions
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy tried three times to break through Ukrainian defenses towards Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, six attacks took place yesterday. Ukrainian troops stopped the enemy’s assault in the areas of Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Zahryzove.
The enemy attacked in the Liman sector 24 times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense near Kolodyazy, Yampolivka and towards Stepove, Novomykhailivka, Novyi, Zarichne.
In the Siverskyi sector, the Defense Forces stopped six offensives near Bilohorivka and in the direction of Verkhnekamianske.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, five firefights were registered yesterday in the area of Chasovyi Yar and in the direction of Diliyivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 19 attacks in the vicinity of Toretsk and near Diliyivka, Dachne and Krymske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 53 aggressor’s assault actions in the vicinity of Panteleymonivka, Oleksandropil, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka and in the direction of Pokrovsk, Kotlyarivka, Bohdanivka, Oleksiyivka.
Novopavlivske, Huliaypillia, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy made 19 attacks near Kostiantynopil and in the direction of Rozlyv and Vesele yesterday.
In the Huliaipil sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped three enemy attempts to advance near Novopil and in the direction of Vile Pole.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy tried twice to advance towards Lobkove without success.
No combat engagements were registered in the Prydniprovsky sector yesterday.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Yesterday, the enemy carried out 16 air strikes, dropping 20 UAVs, and fired 302 times, seven of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders stopped 18 invaders’ assault actions.
